Rockies replace slumping Hawpe with Spilborghs
Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy juggled his lineup Sunday with Phillies left-hander J.A. Happ on the mound instead of Pedro Martinez.
Tracy benched All-Star right fielder Brad Hawpe, who has slumped over the second half of the season, and replaced him with Ryan Spilborghs for Game 3, which was bumped back a night because of a snowstorm.
Tracy also moved catcher Yorvit Torrealba up two spots to fifth in the order, hoping to put his hottest bat behind Todd Helton and Troy Tulowitzki, who have yet to get into an offensive groove in this best-of-five series.
Torrealba, a career .255 hitter, said he had never batted fifth in the order.

Helton is heart of the Rockies
Todd Helton is the Rockies. For more than a decade, he has achieved a level of consistency and durability no other Colorado player has ever equaled.
As the Rockies open their National League division series today against the Phillies, Helton will be at first base and in the third spot in the lineup.
If shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is the franchise, Helton is the fixture.
“We all look to Todd,” outfielder Brad Hawpe said.
In aging, Helton has evolved, as a player and as a leader. At 36, he’s not the breathless slugger who can change a game with one swing. Helton’s value has changed with him. Where he benefits the Rockies most is not in statistics but rather in the dugout and in the clubhouse.

Tulowitzki named NL Player of the Week
Troy Tulowitzki is on pace to have one of the best seasons ever by a shortstop.
That brilliant campaign notched another highlight last week, and it led to yet another one on Monday, when — thanks in large part to a home run streak that put him in rarefied air — the Rockies’ infielder was named National League Player of the Week, presented by Bank of America.
Tulowitzki homered in four consecutive games from Tuesday-Saturday, becoming the first shortstop to accomplish that feat since Miguel Tejada did it in 2005. Also, the 24-year-old hit .391 (9-for-23) last week, and his four homers and eight runs scored tied for the Major League lead.
