Giambi hopes to help Rockies in a pinch

Jason Giambi has 15 seasons, seven years in the postseason, a trip to the World Series and an American League Most Valuable Player Award behind him.


But he’s joining the Rockies in hopes of a few big moments.

“I’m excited — hopefully, I can bring that lightning in the bottle,” Giambi said Tuesday, the day he joined the Rockies for the start of a three-game set against the Mets at Coors Field.
